Request a QuoteOverview
We start with a clear scope and a realistic budget, then bid and buy out the work with subcontractors we can hold accountable. Once construction begins, our focus is supervision, sequencing, and keeping the owner informed.
Quality control and safety oversight run through the entire project, and closeout is treated as part of the job rather than an afterthought — punch list, documentation, and a clean turnover.

Planning Guide
Planning Your Commercial General Contracting Project
What a Commercial General Contractor Does
A general contractor is the party responsible for turning a set of drawings into a finished building. We price the work, hire and coordinate the trades, manage the schedule, secure inspections, and stand behind the result — so the owner deals with one accountable contractor instead of a dozen separate subcontractors.
Our work covers new commercial construction, additions, renovations, and interior build-outs for offices, retail, clinics, light industrial, and agricultural owners across Central Minnesota. Interior scopes like metal stud framing and drywall, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, and painting are carried under the same contract, so finishes are planned and priced with the rest of the project instead of left as loose ends.
Bidding and Subcontractor Buyout
Accurate pricing starts with complete scopes. We break the drawings into clear trade packages, solicit competitive bids from qualified local subcontractors, and level those bids line by line so gaps and exclusions are caught before contracts are signed — not discovered as change orders mid-project.
Owners see what is included, what is allowed, and where the risk sits before committing to a number.
Schedule, Safety, and Quality on Site
On site, our job is sequencing: getting long-lead materials ordered early, keeping trades stacked in the right order, and planning around Minnesota weather for concrete, roofing, and exterior work. Regular updates keep you informed of progress, upcoming decisions, and anything that affects cost or schedule.
Quality and safety are managed daily, not at the end. We hold trades to the drawings and specifications, document inspections, and keep the jobsite organized and safe for workers and the public.
Closeout and Owner Turnover
A project is not finished when the last trade leaves. We walk the building with you, complete the punch list, coordinate final inspections and occupancy, and deliver warranties, manuals, and as-built information so your building is ready to operate on day one.
Common Questions
Questions Minnesota Owners Ask.
What is the difference between a general contractor and construction management?
A general contractor typically commits to a price and carries responsibility for delivering the work. Construction management brings the builder in earlier as an advisor during design. We can work either way, depending on how far along your project is.
Do you work with my architect?
Yes. If you already have an architect and drawings, we price and build from those documents and coordinate directly with your design team during construction.
How do you control change orders?
By catching scope gaps during bidding, documenting allowances clearly, and pricing any change before work proceeds, so you approve costs before they happen.
Where do you work as a general contractor?
Throughout Central Minnesota, including Long Prairie, Sauk Centre, Alexandria, St. Cloud, Little Falls, Brainerd, and surrounding communities.
